Festive Table Styling

Jan 11, 2023 | Seasonal, Styling

Christmas is fast approaching and ‘tis the season to eat, drink and be Merry!

Staying in seems to be the new going out and festive diner parties seem to be a firm favourite. This can often seem daunting and stressful but it needn’t be.

Styling your dinner party table can be quick, fun and stylish with out the drama and stress.

Here are my top tips to adding a pop of colour to your traditional table setting.

Top tips:

  1. Plate settings – Stack your dinner plate and side plate on top of one and another and lay your napkins vertically down. I have used Missoniones here to add a splash of colour. Finished with a sprinkle of greenery.
  2. Centrepiece – Your centrepiece is the focal point of the whole table, it can be the meal itself, a vase of flowers or candles like I have used. But there needs to be one, and often this is forgotten. Again I have added colour simply with some brightly coloured pink candles.
  3. Foliage is your friend – Here I have placed eucalypts along the table and cut up parts of a hydrangea and scattered it randomly. There is no order to this, the more relaxed the better I say. The green adds a touch of Christmas alpine magic to the table with out the fuss.
  4. Finishing Touches – Finally good quality glassware. The go to high quality glassware range I use is always LSA-international. I have paired up their pop of colour glass tumblers with their new Tatra range glass collection. Christmas is the time to pop open the bubbles so here I have used their exquisite champagne glasses. Finally the table is finished with a sprinkle of fairly lights and a few brightly coloured baubles to add a splash of interest to the table.
